The moving images are a narration about the path of tobacco from the harvest to the manual production of the cigars, in the region of Chicamocha, in the departement of Santander, Colombia. The documentary which creates itself a own fictional space, played a roll as video projection on the dance stage piece SMOKE LAND by Silvia Ospina. The images unfold layers of pure audiovisual composition, which also gives the spectator the opportunity to have a combined experience of witnessing a documentary and performance.

Smoke Land  – The Routes ist eine Sammlung von dokumentarischen Bildern, die für eine Videoprojektion für das Bühnenstück “SMOKE LAND“  konzipiert wurden. Einerseits dienen sie als Bühnenbild zur Unterstützung der tänzerischen und erzählerischen Darstellung, und andererseits werden sie als reine  audiovisuelle Komposition eingesetzt. Die Bilder beschreiben den Weg des Tabaks von der Ernte bis zur manuelle Herstellung der Zigarren.
