As a survivor throughout the centuries, the condor passes. It is present at the Yawar Fiesta in Peru and pre-Hispanic Inca mythology as a sacred bird that connects the celestial worlds (of the gods) with the earthly, where we all live, and in turn has become a symbol of the emotional state of the Andean people since the Spanish conquest. Inhabitant of the heights, and of a vulnerable and endangered ecosystem, the condor is with its millenary glider flight a witness of destruction and creation. The condor is observation, action and renewal. Its route reminds us of its habitat, the fragility of its icy home that contains the water of the heights, the origin of Andean life and the relationship between the different beings and forms of life on the planet.

sobre la aguja de roca que nace
de la gran nieve, triste.

«Die Klages des Kondors» es una danza que  presenta al condor, como figura central y eje narrativo, para desplegar visiones entorno al concepto de territorio. El cóndor es en la mitología una ave sagrada y en la cultura, es un símbolo del estado emocional del pueblo andino desde la conquista. Habitante de un ecosistema frágil y amenazado, el cóndor, es testigo de la destrucción y de la creación. Su vuelo nos recuerda, la fragilidad de su hábitat helado, que reserva el agua de las alturas, el origen de la vida andina y la relación entre distintos seres y formas de vida de nuestro planeta.
